I find the concept of particles being force-carriers to be incredibly counter-intuitive.

Physics, and especially [[Quantum Mechanics]] is kind of supposed to be counter-intuitive, but this is very counter-intuitive. Even when you substitute particles for fields.

I am equally perplexed as [[Lex Fridman]] in his podcast with [[Jim Gates]]:
